Star Legacy Moonphase

The Montblanc Star Legacy Moonphase is limited to 1,786 pieces and is presented in a 42 mm pebble-shaped stainless steel case with rose gold-coated hands, Arabic numerals and a striking blue glacier-motif dial. The dial is decorated with a layered ice design that was inspired by the Mer de Glace, the main glacier on the Mont-Blanc mountain. The centre of the dial is created with a special stamp that reproduces this glacial texture and celebrates the “blue hour” – “l’heure bleue”, during which a deep shade of blue falls on the glacier at dusk, when the moon rises and the stars begin to shine. It was at this time of day that Jacques Balmat became the first person to reach the summit of Mont Blanc, at 18:23 on 7 August 1786. Functions include hours, minutes, central seconds with a Montblanc emblem on the counterweight, moon phase and a date powered by the MB 24.31 automatic movement which can be admired through a sapphire crystal case back. The watch is paired with a blue Sfumato alligator strap.
