In February 1926, the house “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, merchant and manufacturer of watches, registers the trademark “The Tudor” established in Geneva in the name of the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf. Later, in 1936, the house transfers the brand to Wilsdorf. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand an identity of its own. On March 6, 1946, he created “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, specializing in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, as well as distribution and after-sales service.
« I had been considering for many years the idea of creating watches that our dealers could sell at a slightly lower price point than our Rolexes, but achieving the same levels of reliability for which Rolex is renowned around the world. That is why I decided to found a company specifically dedicated to the manufacture and sale of these new watches. This company is called Montres TUDOR S.A. »
– H. Wilsdorf

Immerse yourself in the movement. Aesthetics and performance take into account the imperatives for a product dedicated to the most demanding, designed to resist and to enjoy. The eye is guided by the mind and by the heart, time should not make a dent in this precision mechanics. Exceptional materials, resistance, and strength of design make each watch a unique piece.
Lady Gaga is one of the top fashion icons around the world and she is conscious of everything she wears. She has made fame another art form. She knows very well that the way she dresses is an artistic manifestation that conveys a powerful message, and that every accessory is a way of shaping her image, a means to an end. In keeping with this special attention to detail, Lady Gaga may wear three or four watches on the same wrist. When she wears only one watch, she chooses the Black Bay 36. This automatic watch maintains the general lines of the Black Bay collection while reducing its proportions, as sporty and fashionable as ever. Lady Gaga wears both the blue and black dial versions of this model.

TUDOR has released a short film to exemplify Jay Chou’s daring and innovative spirit, where he fearlessly drives a sports car on a historic oval race track in Montlhéry, France, wandering through time. The short film draws inspiration from the magical worlds created by Jay Chou for his works and the cinematic time travel stories of the 1980s. In doing so, it highlights the influence of iconic figures from the past on today’s creativity in watchmaking, music and other art forms. Chou’s biggest fans will in turn recognize the homage to one of his earliest films where he played an automobile aficionado.
