For May 2026, the prestigious Blancpain manufacture has once again enriched its vibrant Ladybird Colors collection with the launch of a new and sophisticated shade: Nude Moka. Inspired by noble materials that beautify with time, such as leather or cashmere, this iridescent color belongs to the family of natural tones.
Being more assertive than beige yet softer than black, it achieves a discreet and warm elegance that embraces the wrist like a second skin. However, beyond this dazzling aesthetic, the new Ladybird Colors reaffirms the brand’s deep and historic commitment to mechanical watchmaking conceived exclusively for women.

Feminine Mechanical Legacy
If there is one thing to highlight about Blancpain’s approach, it is that historically it has refused to conceive women’s watches as mere jewelry accessories, always placing authentic watchmaking innovation at the heart of its designs. This avant-garde vision gained definitive momentum thanks to Betty Fiechter, who in 1933 became the first woman to own and direct a Swiss watch brand.
Under her revolutionary leadership in the 1930s, the Maison continued the development of the “Rolls,” the first automatic wristwatch for women. This heritage reached another milestone in 1956 with the birth of the original Ladybird model, which integrated the smallest round mechanical movement of its time (the R-52 caliber) within a minimalist case. Today, the Ladybird Colors collection is the direct heir to this expertise that masterfully combines miniaturization, design, and high performance.

Caliber 1163L
True to its technical DNA, the new Nude Moka does not compromise on performance and is equipped with the automatic manufacture caliber 1163L, which offers an impressive 4-day (100-hour) power reserve. Within its 34.9 mm diameter 18-karat red gold case, the watch houses one of the brand’s most poetic and emblematic complications since the 1980s: the moon phase. In its version designed for women, the moon features a delicately drawn face with closed eyes, made-up eyelashes, and a subtle beauty mark, majestically moving across a star-studded sky. The entire mechanical assembly, decorated with the demanding Côtes de Genève finish, is visible through the sapphire case back and incorporates a discreet small seconds hand at 6 o’clock.

Nacre Perlée
The dial of this model is a work of art in itself, crafted from nacre perlée (pearlescent mother-of-pearl), the least common form of mother-of-pearl used in haute horlogerie. This exceptional material, prized for its finely granulated surface, represents less than 2% of all usable mother-of-pearl extracted from a shell. Its extraction requires such meticulous care that each cultured shell can only produce one or at most two dials, ensuring that each watch is completely unique due to the very nature of the material. Upon this exclusive surface—whose reflections evolve with the light, displaying green and pink nuances—stand out the bicolor moka Roman numerals, achieving perfect visual harmony with the warm iridescent alligator leather strap.

Two Versions
To crown this annual capsule, Blancpain presents the Ladybird Colors Nude Moka in two versions that enhance its jewelry dimension. The first, the pure version, displays two intertwined circles composed of 70 diamonds on the dial, totaling more than 2 carats to create a structured and balanced geometry. The second option is even more precious: it amplifies its radiance through a “snow setting” with 152 additional diamonds in the center of the dial, creating a fluid and shimmering surface that elevates the piece to more than 2.4 carats. As a final touch, both silhouettes incorporate meticulously set diamonds on the bezel, lugs, crown, and clasp, demonstrating once again that the most demanding mechanics and the most dazzling beauty can coexist in perfect synchronicity.
